BOOK REVIEWS

Advances in Nineteenth-Century Research, the journal of the International-Nineteenth Century Studies Association

The aim of Book Reviews is to place recent publications within a broader context, explaining what important issues are worth the attention of scholars.

Reviews should evaluate strengths, weaknesses, and key and/or novel insights, paying attention to the use of source, methodology and argument in relation to the work’s stated purpose. Reviewers are asked not to provide a book report; that is, a chapter-by-chapter summary of the book. Reviewers should not draw attention to inconsequential typos or occasional awkward writing.

Book reviews are published three times a year in the Advances in Nineteenth-Century Research journal.
